grand day out

I spent much of this lovely fall day outside, enjoying the sunshine and mild weather.

I started the day by meeting buymeaclue in Grafton, at one of the Grafton Land Trust sites. It's at the bottom of the road where the Community Barn is, so I knew I could find it easily.

There were nice paths through the woods and along the pond, and we had a nice time (as did her dog, who found all sorts of exciting things to explore). It was great to meet a longtime LJ friend in person!

I stopped at Randall's Farm in Ludlow on the way home to get some cider. I also got some local apples, and fresh, warm cider donuts. The donuts were so tempting that I ate one in the car, and consequently missed the entrance to the Pike, so I drove home on Route 20 instead. It was a pretty day for a drive.

After lunch, I went out for another walk. I took lots of foliage pix next door at the cemetery.

It was so nice, and so pretty, that I just kept walking, and ended up at Stanley Park. It was portrait day there it seems, as I saw several families, groups, and even a bridal party taking photos in the rose garden. Yes, still roses, a week before Halloween!

Now, my feet are sore, but my spirit is lifted. It was a good day. :)
