I did some wandering around town today, enjoying the beautiful October weather.
A lot of people don't know that tobacco is grown around here, from Connecticut up to Vermont. There's a tobacco farm down in the valley just a half mile or so from here, and I wandered down there for the first time today.
This barn has tobacco drying in it, with the slats open for air circulation on the sides:
They use the tobacco for cigar wrappers.
It sure is pretty down there!
The bright sunshine highlighted the lovely foliage:
Later on, I wandered downtown, and took a pic of the old bridge, which is covered up for renovation:
Trinity Church looked pretty, catching the late afternoon sun:
The sun is already setting, and tonight there's a frost warning. Yep, it's October all right!
