delightful afternoon

Originally uploaded by Lizzie~Belle. After yesterday's gloominess, today was a total delight. Sunny, warmer, perfect for a walk in the woods. There were even a few roses still blooming!
The bridge & boardwalk are finally open again!
Now I don't have to sneak around the "Keep Out!" sign.
As usual, there were lots of people out walking their dogs. This time, though, they were almost all women.
There were still mushrooms in that stump along the river:
The light is more slanted this time of year, creating interesting shadows.
What a wonderful place. I'm glad that heavy frost the other day didn't kill everything.
Soon, all the trees will be bare. I'm glad I got another chance to take in the glory of fall!
