flora and fauna

In addition to all the lovely flora that I photographed this weekend, there was a bit of fauna, too quick for my camera, that I saw for the first time this season: a hummingbird, a pair (!) of bluebirds, and a garter snake. Oh, and several grackles, more of which I saw today. I also saw a chickadee on a thorn tree, nibbling away at something (bugs?) and totally oblivious to me, happily chirping away. They're such happy little birds, and they remind me of my grandfather, who taught me their song.
In other news, I really wish customers would get together what they want their ad to say *before* they call to place it, and for goodness sakes people, don't act so surprised when I ask you for your credit card number (and put me on hold while you go off looking for it)! Sheesh. *g*
