guess what came in the mail today?!
I have in my hot little hands the new Loreena McKennitt CD, An Ancient Muse! Woo! It's playing (and loading onto iTunes) now. So far, I like it a lot! Lots of wonderful Middle Eastern rhythms. Some really long songs (like nine minutes long). The case is mostly paper, and not a beast to open. In the liner notes, she talks about her travels and influences, with some Celtic history thrown in for good measure.
