So, I don't have the scary pictures of the downed trees or the general devastation wreaked by another huge storm sweeping us - the fourth in as many months.
Everyone got to hang out in the front where there were windows and light. Me, I spent most of the day in the dark treatment area, monitoring patients and doing blood work and such by flashlight and candlelight. But occasionally ... I had some company ...
But we finally got power back, and I got to scrub in on an emergency exploratory today! For an hour and a half and I had my hands fully in dog belly, feeling up intestines and stomach and pancreas and all sorts of goodies.
Okay, that sounds weird. But really, it was kickass.
