You're going to do what you enjoy. Which is what you are doing right now. You are in NYC, dancing, which judging from this quote;
"I wants it sooo bad. It's a physical feeling.
I'm not talking about sex. I want to be an f-ing ballerina."
...is what you want to be doing. You're going to get to say you spent your days in college doing something you love. You're going to get into a company, or onto a cruise ship, or into some crazy avant-garde show, or into a school where you can teach little kids how to do this thing that you love so much it is physically painful sometimes, like maybe your unfortunate yesterday was. Screw the fact that your degree won't get you a nine-to five with dental and two weeks vacation a year. Mine won't, but I don't regret for a single second taking the time out of a life that will only get busier and more proscribed to do something that truly makes me happy, while I was still young and resilient enough to take full advantage of it. And the lovely thing about all this amazing tenacity you possess is that you can pretty much decided your own destiny. As Phillip Sydney says "Either I will find a way...or I will make one." If some cigarette smoking, black-draped angry New York anorexic decided you don't fit their criteria, fuck 'em. Go search out all the options that abound, and if you don't find a company or a troupe or a school that you like, you are utterly capable of networking with the right people and putting in the effort to start your own. Or maybe you'll go off and do something totally different. But you will have done it on your own terms. And put in absolutely every ounce of blood, sweat and tears you could have. And will have absolutely nothing to regret.
