Drabble A Day - Simple
Boffo loved what he did.
There was no joy like knowing that he had made someone smile. No feeling to match what he experienced when someone’s face lit up.
Laughter was more musical to him than any note off an instrument.
He had a way with numbers, and certainly that route paid better, and he did do work in the accounting field from time to time. But the rigid formulas of math couldn’t soothe the way a friendly gesture could, and no calculation for percentages ever enticed a giggle from a child.
After all, there was no equation for happiness.
And Boffo cared about the happiness of others more than anything. That was why he did what he did.
It was just that simple.
