I want to say it was after that conversation over on Meagan's blog about feminism, and I thought you were very intelligent and funny. Plus I'd seen you all over my community as well.

You seem to have a really good handle on characters. You're excellent at going past face value and seeing what's really there. (to be fair, everyone in our little circle is good at this)

You seem very serious, and sometimes some other people are silly, but you don't get upset by the silliness, like some serious people.

It's a little old, but I really enjoyed your post in characterwars about aging people but not changing their personalities at all. It helped me as a writer.

I'd been obsessively reading your stories for a while and when I realized you had an LJ I got super excited, because anyone who can come up with such brilliant stories ought to be a good friend!

You pay attention to all the little details. Cory Plunkett, Stewie Stevenson, et al? Half the Dasey stories on ff.net forget George, Nora, Lizzie, Edwin, and Marti exist most of the time! Oh, and you have a great sense of humor that you inject into your stories in some really wierd but awesome ways.

Your sense of humor is finely tuned and well developed. And you are probably just the tiniest bit quirky, and I like quirky people.

Why a deaf Derek? I love what it allows you to do in your story, and it's brilliant. I just never would have thought to do it, so I want to know why and how you did?

Well you only have two, but I like the one you use all the time because I associate it with you. if I'm looking at my flist I can just see that cat and go "Oh hey! Cat posted!"
