Over at Book View Cafe today, Ursula K. Le Guin is concerned that a lot of on-line critiquers are
"just parrot-squawking some useless “rule” they read somewhere." (She's soliciting opinions on the matter, so if you have views on how and whether to select critiquers and how to evaluate what they provide, head on over.)
Since I've always referred to such people as "rules-parrots", this amuses me.
