Today, I won an argument against my co-worker about military deployment. (back in DC for my new job as a Congressional Staffer). It's sort of sad, because you'd think we'd be friends, as he's even more to the left of me, politically...but no. He doesn't get the subtleties of supporting the military, while opposing war...finding ideas in communism to be worthwhile while striving to create a more perfect capitalistic society. Some call it being a hypocrite...or being contradictory...I call it seeing the big picture.
And I won! *holds up shiny self-made medal of lameness*
It's a good day in the life of me.
Of course, being back living in the University dorms isn't that great...unless one factors in 1) NOT BEING IN MICHIGAN, 2) not being around the family 24/7, and 3) D.C. being such a kickass place.
This entire thing is sort of ridiculous though, because I have to move BACK to Michigan, then go on a TRIP to D.C., then BACK to Michigan, then off again to Atlanta some time or another. /dead
