(no subject)
There's not a lot going on right now...but when school starts back, i'll probably not have as much free time as i have. I've been enjoying every bit of my vacation, even though i go back the 17th. I'm not looking forward to this semester at all, just for the fact that i know this is going to be my hardest semester of all...i think. I know i say that every semester, but i'm taking two biology classes and a Math class. The worst part of Tuesday/Thursday is that i have the math class (Problem Stats) at 7:00 in the morning...ekkk..i just hope i'll be able to get up that early, b/c i'm not an early bird...i'm sort of a mid-day kinda person.lol But i have this weekend left and a holiday to enjoy of what's left of my break.
I've been playing the guitar a lot...i'm not good at it yet, but i'm getting there :] here it is, it's an old guitar, but i like it.
one of my moms friends invited us to her church, and they use a guitar for some of their songs, and i was telling my mom i wanted to start to play...my mom's friend heard me mentioned that and told the guitar guy i was interested in playing. So he told me i can come and watch him practice for next Sunday's service. The practice was yesterday at 7:00pm...surely enough my uncle and i went over there to check it out. All the musicians that were there were so talented, i was really shy, just because i don't really know much and i thought i would embrass myself. I didn't though, but i couldn't keep up with them, so i just sat there. What made it worst is that my uncle said...she can't play the guitar...YET, but she can sing. So all of them asked me to sing something, and i did...so now i'm singing at church on sunday. I'm not nervous b/c there's another girl who's also singing with me, but it's kinda scary being up there. I'm excited though, and hopefully school won't be such a disruption with guitar playing.
But anyways, since i posted some art stuff in a later entry, i'll post some pics. of a project i did. I did a pot in art class when i was a senior in high school...it took me about 1 month to make it...yeah believe me, i struggled with it, given the fact that i was in Art 4 and not in a pottery class. Unfortuanately, since i took that long to make it, i didn't have time to glaze it and give it that shiny look...so not too long ago i told my sister who was in pottery last semester to glaze it for me...BAD IDEA. The pot is suppose to represent mayan art because that was the theme i was doing it on...and the pot is suppose to be glossy, but at the same time old and ancient looking. Well, i took it in and described to her of how i wanted it to look like...thinking she would do a good job, b/c she was in pottery for a whole semester. I ask for one simple favor...and this is how it turned out:
it's not even glossy. It looks like she just painted it with paint...i was furious, and wanted to break it, but then i didn't because i worked on this pot for a freakin' month. But i didn't like it and i still don't like it, b/c it didn't turn out the way i wanted it, and now there's nothing i can do about it. Do you guys think it looks okay?? but anyways, it's sitting on my computer desk looking Blah.
so yeah, but anyways, i'm going to be sooo busy next week, i'm thinking there's not going to be another post for a while...even though i don't post much either, so it doesn't matter. But i hope everyone has a good spring semester
