Fo' sale
I'm selling my bed and bedframe. Details:
-Full/double bed
-Both about six years old
-Ikea metal bedframe, in excellent condition (they don't sell it anymore, so I'll have to find a picture later, but it's the one that Lexx, and Xach, and I think Jared and Anne-Elisa have too). There is a good amount of room under the bed for storage, I keep one of those long, flat plastic boxes under it.
-Tempur-Pedic mattress, with a few stains. The cover that it comes with been machine washed several times, but you'd maybe want to throw another mattress cover over it if it really bothers you. Otherwise really good condition, they're supposed to last like twenty years. It's one of the 8" ones. Yes, sex on it is still good, it's just not as springy. I feel like I'm working at Brookstone again.
I've never put the mattress on a box spring, because you're really not supposed to-- it's supposed to be on a hard, flat surface. But do what you like, it just won't come with one. It's always just rested on the wood slats that the bed frame has. Ideally, you'd want to put down a piece of plywood or something on top of that, but I'm lazy.
If you/someone you know is interested, let me know and we can discuss price. In a few days I'll put it up on Craigslist, but I'd rather not deal with strangers, if someone I know/you know could use it. It will be ready to go in about two weeks, when I get my new bed. Fair warning: I am fairly useless with disassembling it and moving it, and you'll probably need some sort of truck.
