Weekend. Time wasted. I cleaned out my closet, removing everything that hasn't been worn in the past 12 months. I got rid of an entire trash bag of shoes, probably 15 pairs. I think this signals an addiction. Especially since I still have 30 pairs. I'll take everything to the Storehouse (doantions for homelss/impoverished families) tomorrow.
I bought some books about pioneers and traveling by covered wagon. My kids are doing a big writitng project that involves creating a fictional journey west across the country. We are reading some and then writing some. By the end of about 2 weeks they should have enough writing to make a journal/book/poster/whatever medium they choose. It's going pretty well.
I also bought a fabulous hot pink wrap-around blouse. It sounds kind of frightening, but it's really fun, honestly. I can't wear it to work, though, too much cleavage. It will be fun with a denim skirt and sandals, though.
Now I must follow my Sunday afternoon ritual of lesson planning and grading papers. Weekends are really all the same. Maybe next weekend I'll go do something fun. My dad put hood pins on my scary fly-up hood, so it's now highway-worthy. Bosque del Apache (that's a wildlife refuge, great bird watching) might be fun. All for now.
