"Time does not change us. It just unfolds us."
--Max Frisch
I recently acquired a sizable garden, a total of 30 square feet. It was once a community effort; however with little response from the community. Friends of mine have cared for it over the last year, but they have took to travel for the summer, leaving the garden to me.
This weekend, my love and I purchased everything to start seedlings from scratch. Fortunately, there is still some grant money left in a fund towards this garden, which will take care of most of my supplies. We purchased seeds for multiple types of peppers and tomatoes, small pumpkins, wildflowers, lavender and other various kinds of herbs. I have also been left a small greenhouse on the garden property, so I am well-equipped.
A major plus: my garden is located 2 blocks away from my apartment.
My Spring and Summer are looking fantastic:
My love and I have numerous live shows to see on the immediate horizon. Then we have plans for The Big Move, and following that we go on the road for his summer performance tour. I have energy festivals and steel pan recitals, advocacy events and new exercise classes, my 25th birthday and Phish tickets all to look forward to. To top that all off, now I have the garden of my dreams.
La vie est bon. Si bon.
