"End is the Beginning is the End"
To quote the Smashing Pumpkins, college life is coming to a close, and I have had time to reflect on how far I've come since being in Santa Cruz. Being truly single for the first time since high school, I feel like I have a lot to look forward to, but am also a bit nervous, it's also difficult for me not to make an ass out of myself sometimes, which is embarrassing. I'm a little rusty, and to be honest, it's pretty tough out there. Otherwise, I can't wait to move on! Getting through these last few weeks of school will be hard, but I am not as afraid as I used to be. Things I will be looking into: interning at a bakery, getting back into painting, volunteer work, taking care of my aging puppies, traveling to Kauai and Europe, eventually finding a nice job, overhauling the house and selling tons of old shit to make room for tons of new shit....stuff like that. Man, I wanna be in Hawaii so bad, I've been getting glimpses of it lately, like, I'll wake up in the morning and hear a bird that sounds like the ones that wake you up at our house. Or maybe, I'll be walking up the driveway, and I'll smell a flower that reminds me of plumeria, or there'll be a Bird of Paradise flower blooming. ugh, I need to be there.
