Death Dream
khall's recent posting about his weird dream reminded me of my own weirdness which I wanted to jot down for jotting down's sake.

So. Here I am in one of many dreamvilles my mind likes to take me to. This one in particular was my Dream Time Spring Hill, Fla. Every time I visit dreamville: Spring Hill the main road through town which stretches from US 19 to US 41 is even longer and curvier than it is Wake Time. I morphed into this dream from another unrelated one, starting out in a parking lot along the side of this road whereupon I hopped into a sporty convertible driven by a friend (Dream Time friend, no one I recognized from my waking hours). I should note before going any further that I know better than to get into a motorized vehicle in my dreams. It is a recurring control-issue theme I've had since I was a very small child. I always lose control of a vehicle in my dreams. Usually I cannot brake. It doesn't matter if it's a car, a truck, a boat or a construction site earth mover. Neither does it matter if I'm zipping around or going very slow, the brakes don't work and I can't stop. I worked with Lucid Dreaming for a bit and was actually able to make note for a time in my dreams what was about to happen and would avoid getting into a vehicle but that takes some effort and I digress.

Try to program yourself to know that in the dream existence your body cannot be damaged irreparably. Even if assumes a damage it recovers immediately. In this world if the body is damaged, it might take weeks for its repair system to put it in working order again but in the dream dimensions healing or trauma recovery occurs instantaneously. However since we end up in the dream worlds with the old attitude from this world, we assume naturally that the dream world operates on the same principle of this world.
In many respects it does not.
To break the subconscious habit of repeatedly going back to Spring Hill and travelling down US 41, you could deliberated program your mind to go there when you are about to sleep. This will trick your subconscious into releasing itself from the need to go there. There is a tug of war between the conscious and subconscious minds in your case, where the subconscious mind feels that it has to be in opposition or in tension in relationship to the conscious mind. Therefore if you agree to go there, and you try to still yourself before sleeping and your conscious mind assumes a mood of cooperation, the subconscious mind may release itself from the need to go there.
This might be compared to having an opponent in tug-of-war game. The opponents will tug so long as there is resistance but as soon as you give in completely and release the rope, the opponent will fall backward and stop tugging.
You may have to do this for a week or for a month or so then the subconscious energy will be neutralized.
