Hello all,
I have officially attended all the classes I will be having this semester. So far, I think it will be difficult, but much more entertaining and stimulating than last semester. Yay! All archives all the time. I haven't bought any books for this semester. I am going to try and use the library as much as possible and online resources, as I am trying to save this money for useful things like bills. If I feel that I really really really need a book and can't find it elsewhere, I may buy it.

It has been snowing almost every day for the past three weeks here in the burgh. That doesn't mean it is necessarily accumulating, just in the way. There are maybe 3-4 inches on the ground (where plows and people have not gone through). This means I am wearing my snow boots everyday! At least they are warm and waterproof. It also means it is cold outside and dreary and blah. Oh well, only a few more months, then spring! I am looking forward to the warmer weather, not wearing as many layers and eating outside again.

My oven still doesn't work. The guy came a few weeks ago and replaced some part, but it is still finicky and does work well. It takes me fifteen tries to turn the thing on to ANY temperature, and even then, it only turns on once I have given up and turned the dial to OFF...soooo yah. I don't use it cuz I never know what temp it will be or if it will turn on or even if it will turn off, or if it will turn on when I think it should be off....confusing I know. So no roasting, broiling or baking for me. I have made due with pan cooking for the most.

Mine and Patrick's holiday gift to ourselves was a one year membership to Costco. WEeeeeeeee! I got a bunch load of fish and chicken from there that we have been going through and the giant bag of veggies. We are also set on toothpaste and mouth wash for a REALLY long time. Last night I made spiced chicken with rice, veggies and a chili/bean/lentil sauce (courtesy of Costco)...it was yummy. We have to make another run out there for milk and dishwasher liquid and prolly more veggies. We have set the limit when we go there to 100 dollars. Which sound like a lot, but if you have been to Costco, you know it can add up. We also go with a specific list of things we want/need, so we are not going around and impulse buying left and right. I do admit that that lentil stuff was an impulse buy off of a tasting station, but it was damn good! So I bought some. so there...

We also have become coupon people. I look for coupons of things we need (really, I am not going to buy something simply BECAUSE we have a coupon) out of the ads in the mail and stuff. I am all about the coupons for free things from restaurants and stuff.

Alright, we are going to head out to get those things now and some dog food from the pet store. huzzah. The puppy can't starve after all....
