Lady gaga.

So i watched an interview with lady gaga today on fuse.

I have died inside.

I mean i get it, you are making a comment about the superficiality, disposability in pop culture and pop art, pop music. but here is the thing about making disposable art to make a comment about art being disposable...it makes art seem disposable.

it's like telling a racist joke ironically, it still perpetuates the idea of raciest jokes. irony needs to be used appropriately. If you attempt to use irony on a global scale, it gets lost. It becomes real. Lady gaga seems to revel in the parody of divas and pop stars that she has become, but by doing this while continuing to talk about your "art" and being an "artist" it is changing the popular definition of "art" and "artists".

grosss/lifeeee.

also, don't talk about how hip hop uses homophobia and it is wrong, because though it IS not appropriate, you gave this answer about how you don't talk about things you don't know about, but I don't see you in the streets, learning about and aiding black culture, so don't attack it blindly. when you release a song that isn't a poorly written self advertisement and actually take a stand with your art rather than in a few quotes and appearances "giving it up to the gays" maybe then you can attack others musical/lyrical statement. gaga, get real.
