I'm so tired of my job. I've asked my boss and office manager for something other than calling people who have lapsed in their auto insurance. This is what I say:
This is Liz calling from Peter Gramoll's Agency with American Family Insurance and I wanted to let you know that your [type] insurance is lapsing due to nonpayment. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at ###-###-####.
Over and over.
Or I call people who have made a claim. This is what I say then:
This is Liz calling from Peter Gramoll's Agency with American Family Insurance and I wanted to follow up with the claim you filed on [date]. If you have any questions, you can call me at the agency at ###-###-#### or you may call your claim adjustor. The number is ###-###-####. His name is [name] and his extension is #####. Your claim number for this claim is ## ###-######. Again, feel free to contact us with any questions.
Or I call people who have not been contacted in a while. This is what I say then:
This is Liz calling from Peter Gramoll's Agency with American Family Insurance and I just wanted to find out if you were interested in setting up a review. It's been a while since we looked at your insurance and it helps to come in from time to time. If you would like to set up an appointment or have any questions, feel free to contact me at ###-###-####.
Does any of that look familiar?
And it's boring as all hell. I just want a change of pace or something that doesn't involve leaving people messages all day.
Also - I just noticed that out of all my gazillions of entires, the one I got the most comments on was the one where I die. How WRONG is that? Of course, it was just Amy and Alex fighting, but still.
