Coloring tutorial (Selective coloring)

We're gonna be going from this:

to thisss!:

Pick a picture. Any picture. If it has reds, the reds might be brighter. xD I chose a Ryan icon. Crop it to your liking. I used icon sized; 100x100.

Duplicate the layer and set it to screen.

Set the opacity to 72%

Open and adjustment layer, selective color. If you don't know how to do that, go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color.
Use these settings:

Method: relative (it's at the bottom)

Colors: reds
Cyan: -50%
Magenta: -15%
Yellow: 100%

Colors: yellows
Cyan: -100%
Yellow: -100%

Colors: neutrals
Cyan: -15%
Magenta: -15%
Yellow: -10%
Black: -5%

You'll get this:

Now, add a new Adjustment layer. This time, it's for brightness/contrast. (Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Brightness/Contrast)

Brightness: 12
Contrast: 10

It'll now look like this:

Next, you add a Hue/Saturation layer. (Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation) Use these settings:

Hue: 0
Saturation: 24
Lightness: 0

As of now, it'll look like this:

And now...another selective color layer! xD. Use these settings:

Method: relative

Colors: reds
Cyan: -40%
Magenta: 25%
Yellow: 100%
Black: 10%

Colors: Yellows
Cyan: 100%
Yellow: -20%

And here it is!

Other examples (Different original colors, so they came out with less blue) :

Happy coloring! :) I probably made some mistakes on the steps. xD, Sorry about that. I'm not very good at these thingers.

Icon post will be posted in a few days. I know, I haven't posted icons in a while, huh? But I'm back! :D Here's a little teaser from the next icon set :D

Yes, Spongebob :D

Anyway, Show me your results! :)
