fissijo gave me...
1. Dancing on Ice - Where do I start? Despite my general dislike of reality TV I've watched this since the first series (series 4 just finished). I loved Stefan and Kristina, raged at Bonnie spending more time in the air than on the ice (she's sooooo good now though) and generally just fell in love with the show. The serious love affair/obsession kicked in in series 2 when I discovered (Kyran and) Melanie however. Series 2 remains my favourite - the best pairings, the most fun and it had 'extra' shows with backstage stuff and more of the pro skaters too. Because whereas in the fisrt two series I loved some of the celebs and the pros, in seasons 3 and 4 it's mostly been about the pro skaters for me. They totally make the show.
2. High School Musical - I'm not quite sure what happened here... I vowed to hate it for the whole Disney channel straight to video-ness and yet got drawn in my the trailer and ended up watching it when it was on TV around Christmas. I then said I wouldn't watcht he second film because it would suck, but somehow ended up asking for it on DVD for Christmas (or maybe my birthday) and liked it more than I thought, although I wasn't so keen. In time however, and with the help of the big gay baseball dance off, I ended up liking it better than the first film. The third, however, FAR surpasses both and is bigger, better and has better songs. I saw it three times at the cinema. I also totally ship Chad/Ryan.
3. Cheesy Pop - Ah, my first love. The first albums I remember owning (and still have) are Kylie and Jason's debut albums which dad bought me. The music is just so uplifting and makes me smile. I do like some 'proper' music but in general I always revert back to the tried and tested cheese.
4. STARStreet - A TV show starring allSTARS. One of those programmes I was really too old to be in the target audience for but loved anyway, in no small part due to my love of Sam (one of the Ss in STARS). To the point that Joei and I tried to start a religion of Samism which we would recruit to using boards like golf sale signs on Oxford Street. I've been rewatching it recently and the mix of music and sitcom still makes me smile even now!
5. House - Another show that I've watched since the beginning. I think I was drawn in by the adverts on Five and loved it! There are always characters I don't like, and those I hate (think the big bads of the earlier series - Tritter and Vogler particularly), but I also love House and most of the female characters. Hugh Laurie is so convincing it always throws me when I hear his proper accent now!
Oh no, which icon do I choose?! *flails*
