DVD: Gray Matters
I've had this DVD from lovefilm for a few weeks now and it had never been appealing enough to watch, despite the fact that I clearly wanted it enough to add it to my rental list. I finally got around to watching it tonight and remembered why I had wanted it in the first place: (1) Alan Cumming and (2) The gorgeous Bridget Moynahan.
Heather Graham usually annoys me but she was actually pretty good in this and as an added bonus her brother was played by JD's brother from Scrubs(aka Tom Cavanagh)! Their chemistry was really good - very cute siblings!
I thought it might have been a bit too similar to Imagine Me & You when it started, but it moved away from that as it went on. I actually really enjoyed it. I loved Alan Cumming's character (though I usually do, because he's awesome) but I ended up feeling a bit 'meh' when it finished because although it ends with hope for Gray, there's so much unrequited love (Gray for Charlie, Gordy for Gray) that it depressed me a bit.
I did enjoy it though, and kind of wish I'd watched it when it arrived rather than thinking I didn't really want to see it!
