House - 5.05 - Lucky Thirteen
Eeeee, a Thirteen-centric episode! The best kind! I really liked this episode -
- The interaction between House and Wilson was great - Wilson’s stepped up his game but also knows when he’s beaten and it’s not worth playing any more.
- Yay, Cuddy’s getting a baby! This has been coming for ages and I was hoping they wouldn’t make House or Wilson the father, so double yay!
- Poor Thirteen :o( I felt really bad for her but she needs to stop self destructing or she’ll have even less time left. I didn’t like the PotW at the start, but she definitely grew on me as the episode went along.
- Awwwwwww Thirteen! I do love her so…
- There are bits of this episode I totally want iconned (House and Private Investigator Dancer sat together on the bench, Thirteen looking sad) but I’ll hold out and see if someone else does it for me first.
Tideland (film)
I saw this for sale in Fopp and added it to my lovefilm list as it looked interesting (though I’m sure it was about £3 so I really could have just bought it). I wasn’t disappointed. It’s the story of a girl with druggie, neglectful parents. Her mum dies at the start of the film and she and her father move into his mother’s old house in the country. It’s seen very much through her eyes so there is fantasy/imagination mixed in with what’s actually happening. It’s a dark and sometimes disturbing film but I found it compelling and was drawn to know what would happen next. It’s also beautifully shot and the actress playing the little girl was very, very good and convincing - I never felt pulled out of the story by poor acting. It’s by no means a fairytale and it’s not a children’s film, even though it may appear to be at times. But definitely worth a watch.
The Big Bang Theory - 2.05 - The Euclid Alternative
This better be a good episode - it took all evening to download!

Penny got some of the best lines this episode, rather than Sheldon. It makes a nice change.
