Okay, I have just about recovered from bawling my eyes out watching Rent.
I've wanted to see the film since it came out a few years ago but have been slack and only just got round to it. I know there are some people who don't like the film *eyes snow_vs_asphalt* and I might agree if I'd seen the stage show, but I haven't. Some bits I wasn't sure about but I generally loved the film, and definitely loved the songs. I already knew and loved Seasons of Love thanks to snow_vs_asphalt but I also now adore Take Me or Leave Me. I'll buy the soundtrack if I can find it somewhere for less than £10, which isn't proving easy!
I fear a couple of my f-list may try and beat me up for this but I wasn't that keen on Maureen... I will admit Idina has a fab singing voice but I didn't like her character. I loved Mimi though and I always forget how stunning Rosario Dawson is until I see her in something again. I actually really liked most of the characters.
