Demontown

Last night I finally got round to watching my latest LoveFilm selection - Demontown. I only got it because it has both Eddie Cahill and Poppy Montgomery in it but I actually really enjoyed it. It sounds like a horror film but it's totally not - it's more of a mystery/crime thing, and although I thought it was a film imdb tells me it was actually a short lived TV show called Glory Days (I think) and this appears to be three episodes edited together - there's only one lot of credits and it does flow but you can clearly define the three episodes too. As I texted
meeshy last night I realised one of the parts also has Teryl Rothery in it!

I did spend a lot of the 'film' trying to get my head around the whole it's Flack! and Sam! together! thing, but it was good. Eddie's character is a writer who returns to his home town after a long absence and having pissed everyone off by writing a book about them. He ends up working with the sheriff (who used to be his friend) to solve a number of murders taking place in the town. Poppy is the town's ME which is no small job given that Glory seems to have a mortality rate to rival Sunnydale's. Eddie and Poppy's character's are all flirty and skirt around the issue of getting together, and the mini version of them is his sister (Emily van Camp) and her friend.

I leave you with this parting shot of Eddie Cahill...
