1. Dirty Dancing
The lake practice scene was filmed at Lake Lure in the mountains of North Carolina in October. There are no close-ups because the actors were so cold that their lips were blue.
2. Love Actually
Kris Marshall returned his pay check for the scene where the three American girls undress him. He said he had such a great time having three girls undress him for 21 takes, that he was willing to do it for free, and thus returned his check for that day.
3. Grease
Rizzo's hickeys were real. Stockard Channing said in an interview that Jeff Conaway insisted on applying them himself.
4. D.E.B.S.
Lucy Diamond's license plate is "ndasky", probably referring to the Beatles' song "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds". The character was referred to as "Lucy in the Sky" in an earlier draft of the script.
5. Bring It On
In the final performance, the routine used by the Toros actually does incorporate every dance style Torrance names while coming up with a new show.
6. Serenity
Morena Baccarin provides the voice ("Parliamentary override. Full access.") for the security terminal in the records room.
7. The Princess Diaries
The on-screen relationship between Queen Clarisse Renaldi (Julie Andrews) and Joseph (Hector Elizondo) was not scripted. The dance scene and the underlying affection was added by the two actors. According to Hector Elizondo, "We felt that a romance after 50 was important to tell and it can be sensual and sexy while keeping your clothes on."
8. Return to Oz
A gymnast stood upside-down (with legs bent) inside Tik-Tok's body to move the legs.
9. Moulin Rouge
The word "love" and its variations (loved, loves, loving, lover and lovers) appears in this film 143 times.
10. Alice in Wonderland (Disney)
The Doorknob was the only character in Disney's Alice in Wonderland (1951) that did not appear in Lewis Carroll's books.
