After a pretty unproductive day yesterday, I had a very nice evening, even if I did go to bed about two hours later than I needed to.
pyoor_excuse (Kate) came round to watch Dr Who and then get takeaway (she had lemon squash chicken. No...really.) Which was very nice, and we seemed to laugh a lot... made worse by Leo being in a very naughty mood and cracking us up.
Oh yeah, after Dr Who we kinda had NCIS and CSI: NY on, but we weren't really watching, though I was trying to explain to Kate who people were, and suddenly I saw Danny pick Lindsay up for no apparent reason as I hadn't been watching, so I massively SQUEEd at the tv and scared people slightly. Oops! It was very cute though.
Tim also came round to watch a film sometime during the previous programmes, and Kate had to leave cos she'd been up since stupid o' clock and has work today.
At this point, I should've gone to bed. The boys had rented The Producers, which I had no desire to see anyway, coupled with bad reviews, but I started watching it, and although it's not great, and is the sort of film I generally don't like anyway, it was very funny! I was laughing all the way through. (And it had pigeons in it
fissijo!!)
The laughter was made worse by the fact Tim and Andy completely got Uma Thurman, Heather Graham and Denise Richards muddled up, so halfway through the film we had a ridiculous conversation trying to explain who had been in what (Wasn't she Rollergirl? No, that was Heather Graham. No, Heather Graham was in that Bond film, she wasn't Rollergirl. Yes, she was, she was never in a Bond film. And so on for ages. Resumed later cos they were drunk and forgot we'd covered it!)
It was also a bit of a Stepford Husbands reunion, so I kept yelling "It's him too!" at the screen. Loads of them. Well, three. But at least I knew who they were! Quite a long film though, I was falling asleep towards the end.
Very good evening though. *nods*
