I just noticed that you read my LJ... hi! nice to meet you!
I feel you on the pain front. Boy, do I ever.
Maybe a word of advice? Look into taking antioxidant supplements, specifically grape-seed extract. I have been reading in some books that it is extremely useful in helping inflammation and body repair. I am actually about to start a supplementation regimen myself. It will work fine with the ulcerative colitis, so no worries there. Find the highest quality product from a health food or natural food store, if possible. I know you're in Butler (what a place to be in! I've been there a few times!), but there must be something SOMEWHERE.
Also, a book to read: _What Your Doctor Doesn't Know About Nutritional Medicine May Be Killing You_ by Dr. Ray Strand It is FABOO. A real eye-opener!
Dr. Strand also has many other wonderful health books available. His wife has fibromyalgia and he has dealt with many cases of cancer, diabetes, lupus, MS, etc. by using nutritional supplementation.
Other than that, I encourage your family to move to a more compassionate state - one that offers Medical MJ programs for patients like me and you. Good luck with your endevours. I shall light a candle for you on my Frigga altar (the hearth!).
May Eir bless you with a speedy recovery and good health. Heilsa!
We're pretty much naturalists- no artificial additives or preservatives, we don't even use a microwave... we're really careful that way.
I think we have a downloaded copy of that book, well at least I know my husband's read it and he's pretty much been the one to change my eating habits.
Thank you dear for the well wishes. Even if we could move back to Erie we'd be better off. There it's not so bad.
A caring angel from Cali has sent well wishes our way and we're doing MUUUUUCH better :)
