Spring Break...

Well, my last Spring Break is over, and for the most part I can say it was rather nice! I went to South Carolina with Jessica and Amanda to visit with Kylee. I had an awesome time down there, I laughed a LOT! The weather was perfect and the drive wasn't all that bad...Okay, the blizzard in Ohio sucked, but other than that no major compliants. The second half of my Spring Break was spent catching up with friends from home, which I always enjoy. I even helped some high school boys put together a dance for Mr. Union. That was an interesting experience and reminded me of just how much I miss Cheerleading! Yes, I said I miss Cheerleading...I happen to like being a Cheerleader and I would like to think that I was pretty good at it. Well except the tumbling part of it, I tried that and it just wasn't my thing...
And during my second half of Spring Break I was shockingly reminded of just how quickly things can change. One day your life is one thing and in a week it can turn out to be something completely different. I've gotten so used to looking at change as a gradual thing, but apparently you can cheat the system and change anything anytime you want to. Go figuire! This concept of immediate change has me thinking...
I have seven weeks of school left. That's it! All of a sudden I'm taken back to my senior year of high school. All you want is to be done! You so long to be let out of the place you feel has been keeping you down...you want everything to go by as fast as it can. And then the end gets too close and you find yourself wanting everything to slow down a little. Your brain is screaming, "Not ready yet! Slow down please, I'm not sure I can handle all of this.." Well ladies and gentlemen...that is me screaming right now! I have spent the majority of my life as a student. That's pretty much all I know. And now I'm finishing up what could be my last school experience and I'm really concerned I haven't learned enough. When I say "learned" I don't mean the things you learn about in books or lectures. I mean life things. I'm not sure I'm ready to be on my own. I'm a spoiled brat! I have never gone without. I get everything I need and the majority of the things I want...I'm the girl that 80% of the college population hates because I don't have to work for everything I have. Everything I have is given to me. Yes, I have learned to be greatful for that merely because I've seen people who struggle for everything. And I know once I'm done here I won't be thrown out into the world with nothing, but in a funny way I think I should be. I don't want to depend on other people anymore. I want to be on my own in every sense of the word...I'm just worried that I don't know how!
