Friday just can't get here soon enough. I am literally going crazy, I want it to GET here already. I just can't wait to be able to spend all that time with Dustin, and see my friends, and see my parents, and just get AWAY. I keep dreaming about it each night. GAH. Must. Get. Here. Soon.
My grandpa had to get a pacemaker this morning. He should be out of the hospital by Wednesday, but for now, my cousin Brenda is staying with my grandma to take care of her and my mom is driving to Port Charlotte every chance she can get to visit my grandpa. *sigh* It's stuff like this that really makes me wish I was home. 1) because I love my grandpa and can't stand being so far away 2) because I hate having my mom stress out between taking care of grandpa/taking care of my dad (which is just a daily task)/ work/and being overachieving fabulous Band Mom to all the kids in the Blazing Blue.
Seriously guys, my mom is the best person on the face of this planet. Some kids get in trouble for never calling their parents... my mom and I tease each other because there are times when we talk four times a day. LOL.
I had a weird moment walking to lab tonight. As I came across the boardwalk by the Reitz Union pond (previously a sinkhole, random trivia), the lights from Orange and Brew were reflecting off the water and a slow John Mayer song was drifting across the bank. A breeze from an incoming rain shower blew my hair in all directions, causing it to brush against my bare shoulders (off-the-shoulder pirate shirt). As I climbed the stairs to make my way across North lawn, I felt as if I were in a movie. The right breeze, the scenic lights hanging across Orange and Brew's outdoor seating, reflecting off the pond... the John Mayer soundtrack. It was very surreal. When I reached the top of the stairs, I saw Cody and waved, still in a daze.
The moment ended when I ran into Jonathan and was thrown back into reality. Lab almost drained away my beautiful moment, after Frank gave me a very harsh 65 on my EHS article, after praising how wonderful it was during our meeting (he said I may lose a few content points for using an annonymous source. He did not say I would lose 25 content points... then plus two errors on my part...YARR!). Gah. Oh well, I have plenty of extra-credit opportunities. Not worried.
Highlight of my day: FINALLY getting to see Airline again. Man, I love that show.
