Dave, LSU, etc.

Dave Matthews was... sad as I am to say this... forgetable.

Although I really enjoyed the concert while I was there, I pretty much stopped thinking about it as soon as I walked out, whereas with Incubus I'm still reminiscing and thinking about how great it was. I think I would have enjoyed Dave a lot more had he actually played more of the songs I liked (I own all the cds from Crash-Busted Stuff, and he somehow managed to skip most of my faves). I was very, very happy he played Too Much, because it's always been one of my faves... but this was

Don’t Drink the Water
Don’t Burn The Pig
Hello Again
Grey Street
The Stone
So Much To Say
Too Much
One Sweet World
Cry Freedom
Lie In Our Graves
Warehouse
Where Are You Going
Stay

Would have been better if it included some of these:
When the World Ends, So Right, What you are, Crash into Me (one of my fave. songs of all time, so I was praying for it, but not really expecting it), I Did it, If I Had it All, Angel, What Would You Say, The Space Between, Ants Marching, Mother Father, Dreams of our Fathers, Crush, Two Step, etc.

So yeah, I'll still go to the Dave concert next summer with Alli and Oded if they go again, but hopefully it'll be more of my favorites next time. Yarr.

Then yesterday was the LSU game. Went tailgating at around 4:30ish and rode with Lisa, volunteering to be her DD after the game. Alumni bros were definitely out in full force, and it was so good to see Colleen and Hogan(!!!) again! Plus Janet, Perdomo and Scafidi, but they're around more often. The Slip-n-slide action was pretty much done before I got there, but still funny.

The game was... eh. It was great to finally have a night game, and I was standing inbetween Lindsay and one of the new Omicrons, Mike. They were great company and we had good times. Lisa and others showed up to the game plastered, but Lisa was just... wow. All of us were worried because she couldn't stand up straight at all, but refused to sit down, claiming that she was fine. She couldn't keep her head up if she was sitting down, and her eyes were only half-open. She moved up farther in the bleachers and almost knocked over these girls that were standing behind us. Apparently sometime after that the cops kicked her out of the game, so I was glad I took my purse with me instead of leaving it in her car.

Luckily I found Jonathan after the game, otherwise I would have been stuck on campus waiting for the traffic to die down so that Mike could take Lindsay and I home. I got to meet Jonathan's friend Colleen in the process, and then got to have dinner with Jonathan, Shannon, Liddy and Alex at Gator's Dockside at 1 AM. My boyfriend is turning into an alcoholic now that he's 21 ;). haha.

Oh, and by the way, we lost the game in the last minute. Well, I guess in theory we should have been losing the game a lot sooner than that... we sucked HARD yesterday. We were lucky we held them off until then. It was really, really sad. Explosive first quarter, but crap for the next three. UGH. I'm more scared of playing Georgia now than I am of FSU. Georgia kicked LSU's ass, and we could barely hold our own. *sigh*

EDIT: Oh, yeah, Saturday was also one month for Jonathan and I. Happy one month babe!

concerts, jonathan, gator games, bands
