Lions, tigers and bears...

Charley, Frances, Ivan, Jeanne. Hurricane has come and gone. It was much like Frances, only much shorter. Jeanne only last about 24 hours, whereas Frances was here for three whole days.

It turned out to be a very productive weekend though. Saturday I did all sorts of cleaning stuff... did all my laundry, cleaned my room, cleaned by bathrom, etc. Jonathan came over after work (I have no idea how he works to 3 a.m. all the time) and Michael made it back to Gainesville (he took Terry back to Alabama) before the hurricane hit.

Sunday was the Hurricane day. Sat around watching the weather channel, ate pizza with Jonathan, then read for African Lit. when he had to go to work. Then California Chicken Grill (from here on out known as CCG) lost power, so he came back over. Michael fixed our DDR pad, so there we played a couple rounds... I think the kid that lives below Michael was pissed, but it was only midnight and I think we owe them still for the loud music the first week ;)

Owen, Jonathan and I watched One-hour photo. There were far too many distractions for me to actually enjoy the movie, so I'm glad I'd already seen it. Owen insisted on using the captions on the movie, Michael was hammering in his room, a dog was barking outside, the wind was gusting, Tope was doing dishes/talking to a friend, and so little Ms. ADD kid over here was having soooo much trouble focusing. Yarr.

Then the power went out. Owen, Michael and I whipped out our handy-dandy flashlights, Michael lit firecrackers and then the four of us watched Family Guy episodes on Michael's laptop before finally giving up and going to bed. Power went off at 2 AM, but being the insomniacs we are, Jonathan and I were still awake when it came back on at 5 AM. *laughs*

There was no school today, given that the winds didn't really stop until 8AM this morning, so it's been a lazy day. I've been reading and I'm about halfway done with my paper. I have no idea how I'm going to write two more pages. Ugh.

So instead, I will procrasinate. And go to Rob's bday dinner.
