(no subject)
Greeeeaat. The first wave of storms resulting from the impending Hurricane of Doom are going to get here in a couple hours. Guess I won't be getting very great sleep.
Mainly I'm worried because my Uncle Robin and Scott decided to stick out the storm in Key West. If I had been on the phone with Robin, I would have yelled at him. The last time a hurricane hit the Keys a couple years ago he promised he would never stay again (frankly, it scared the shit out of him and we were all worried because there was no way for us to communicate so it was a while before we heard from him). But yet he decided to stay again... at least he isn't on Cook Island. Key West is better than the deserted island.
As of now, my parents are both planning on going to work tomorrow. I'm hoping that none of these storms knock out the power before they get home... I'd rather not be home alone without the computer or TV to entertain me. I guess I'd play a lot of piano and break out my other instruments or something. lol. Maybe I should go ahead and charge up my laptop tonight.
I'm glad I don't live on the coast... some 1 million people have been urged (or forced) to evacuate along the coast. Sheesh. Let's hope Charley doesn't prove to be as bad as they're making it out to be.
