Well, I'm back from vacation! Somehow, I managed to go nearly two weeks without going on the internet at all. Amazed? Yeah, me too. By this morning I was started to twitch from withdrawel though, so it's good to be back home.

Let's see.. what's happened in the life of Liz in the past two weeks?

Jamie came to visit me at the beach during the first week and it was great to see her! It felt like I hadn't seen her in forever and it was good to sun/swim and eat yummy food and just relax. And Danny must be psychic, because he text messaged me at random while Jamie was there... I (heart) my little! On the topic of brotherhood stuff, Brenna messaged me the other day and asked me if I wanted her jersey since she's not a brother anymore, and I gladly accepted. Yay! Not only do I get a jersey, but it's from my grandbig!

Let's see.. the rest of the time at the beach was spent just relaxing... walked up and down the beach, actually got a tan (well, as much tan as my Irish skin will get...),re-read the third Harry Potter book, started reading 1984, watched lots of movies with my parents (Return of the King, The Matrix Revolutions, Love Actually, Big Fish, Bridget Jones' Diary), watched tons of episodes of What Not to Wear and became even more addicted to Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and The West Wing due to the Bravo network (which we don't get in Arcadia or in the dorms... I hope our apartment cable has it).

During the first week I met Katie and her cousin in Port Charlotte to see Shrek 2. It was pretty good, but the original was still better. I've known Katie's cousin since she was little, and now she's in middle school and I couldn't believe it.. she's almost taller than me! ugh, time flies!

Last Monday, my mom and I went to see Harry Potter PoA(or as Ellen called it, Y Tu Potter Tambien. Katie told me it sucked, so I was a little worried, but I liked it. The style was definitely different than the previous director's, but I liked the change. There were some details from the book that were over-emphasized, and others that were under-emphasized, and other parts that were changed for the sake of story-telling in the movie format, but overall the director did a good job. And I have a little bit of a crush on Daniel Radcliffe, although that makes me feel sleezy because he's only 14 or 15. Oops.

After the movie, Mom and I did a ton of shopping for the apartment in Target and Sulzman snuck up on us and scared me a bit. We talked to him and Noah for a while before continuing our shopping... Noah's at the age where he's becoming shy, which is sad. Hopefully he'll grow out of that soon =).

Then yesterday Sarah and her family came to the beach for vacation as well, just a short walk down the beach from where we were staying, so Sarah and I spent the afternoon together swimming, walking the beach and having a looooong talk in order to catch up. She hasn't been having the greatest luck in the dating area up at Dartmouth, and I haven't been having the greatest luck at UF either... we're sort of in the same place right now, although under different circumstances. I guess the best way of putting it is that we're both lost regarding the boys we like, and we're not sure what to do from there. At sunset, Sarah and I took tons of pictures while my mom chatted with her parents. We laughed at how dorky we are, as we were both taking self portraits with our matching digicams. *laughs*

This morning we had to move out of the condo, so after packing I drove down to Sarah's place and spent the morning with her. We sat in the porch chatting (well, Sarah was whispering due to the fact that she lost her voice) for a while and I kept flashing back to her graduation party (which was held mainly in that porch) two years ago. Hard to believe it's been two years! Anyway, it was really, really good to see my best friend again (considering we see each other about twice a year now) and we made plans to go shopping in Sarasota sometime next week. Yay!

The time at the beach was good... it gave me a lot of alone time to think and for some reason the thought processes seem to be more productive at the beach than at home. I'm still going through a bit of turmoil on the inside, but whenever I start to get sad, I just remind myself that I'll be back in Gainesville in two weeks, and I'll have my friends around again, and I'll be back to focusing on school and there will be much less free time to over-analyze things. Right.
