I don't know why, but I've always had a strange fascination with Epcot. As a child, I loved Epcot because it was a Gifted kid's dream park. Nerdy historical/educational rides, hands-on activities that required the use of imagination, and the coolest technologically strange things I'd ever seen ( Read more... )

The first time, yes. Then the public went all: "WTF?" and so they put him back in.

I've been on both new versions, and while yes, I'm glad to have Figment back, the current version is freakin' annoying. Figment is obnoxious, and the ride is too. I used to LOOOOVE Journey to Imagination, but not so much anymore.

Agreed. The original will always be a classic. Why they felt the need to destroy it, I'll never know.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Hopefully they learned their lesson and won't go anywhere near Spaceship Earth. If/when they drastically change that ride, I'm boycotting.

Exactly! Eisner seemed to have trouble with that concept, particuarly at the end of his reign.

omg, me too! Did you hear about the Time Racers concept they supposedly had a few years ago? I can't even tell you how outraged I was just at the idea of it. Thankfully, it was shelved.
