billy joel!
The Billy Joel concert was freakin' amazing, even though we were literally in the very last row on the third level of the St. Pete Times Forum. At least we were in the center?
He played most of my favorites... two really stood out for me as surreal moments. 1) River of Dreams. I remember buying this single (on cassette) when I was in elementary school. It's so weird that here, however many years later, I was at a Billy Joel concert listening to him perform it live. I never could have imagined that. 2) Piano Man. The final song of the concert, appropriately so. Swaying with Heidi, Dan and Tia and the rest of the thousands of people at the sold-out Forum will be a memory I keep forever. On the final chorus, the band stopped playing and left the audience to sing on their own. It gave me chills. Definitely one of the coolest concert experiences ever.
