rain rain go away

Ok, so here's the thing about college.

I really don't watch that much TV. The only show I make a point to watch every week is Nip/Tuck (man, it's even crazier this season), but other than that, I pretty much only watch music videos.

So yesterday I head to class, and the weather is all weird. It's kinda chilly/windy/cloudy. Then it starts misty raining. So I think: "Holy crap, we may actually be getting a cold front in October!" But of course, the clouds are moving way too fast, and just generally seeming weird. And once you've lived in Florida for a while, you can recognize the difference between summer storms/winter storms and tropical storms /hurricanes. So then I think: "Wait, is there another hurricane I should know about?"

I checked weatherchannel.com last night, and I guess I missed the whole Tropical Storm Tammy watch. It's right off the east coast and it's projected path takes it right across Gainesville (or nearby). EDIT: Nevermind. It's moved on. So here I am walking around campus like an idiot thinking we might be having a cold front already, when it was actually feederbands from the storm. *shakes head*. And they might be canceling class too? I would be oh-so-happy if they did! Hello five day weekend (didn't have class today)!

But can I just point out that I am AMAZED that we are on the letter "T" for storms? I don't ever remember a time where we got this far into the alphabet. Sheesh.
