Oh my.
Today for Fact Finding we had an online chat instead of actually going to class. I think my eyes are bleeding now.
WORST IDEA EVER! Sticking 50 students in a chat room and giving us prompts to search for things online (like: "I'm moving to Florida and need to register my boat. How/where do I do that? How much will it cost?"), when say only three of us seem the least bit tech-savvy? It ended with me searching for sharp objects to take myself out of my misery, especially when one girl started USING ALL CAPS TO GET HER POINT ACROSS. Ahhh!
I think there should be some sort of simple internet entrance exam for journalism majors... seriously, if you can't use the internet by now, you're doomed. 30 minutes into the chat there was one girl who still hadn't made it onto the journalism library site yet to log on... which we'd just gone over in class the week before. Oh good grief.
At least I didn't have to go to campus.
