Alright. Time for the dreaded update.
After the last post, Devin and I slept in our own beds because he wanted to think things over and didn't want to wake up when I had class. I chatted with my wonderful, wonderful friends online (Laura Gr. and Katie, I (heart) you guys) and got through worrying.
So the next morning, Dalia and I went apartment hunting. When we returned, Devin said the council was convening at noon and that he was waiting on their phone call. So the Lakeside girls went to the Union for lunch, and I brought him back Taco Bell. After we all ate, Devin came and crashed on my bed.
We layed around and talked and cuddled for like two hours, and everything seemed to be back to normal between us. The defensive wall he was putting up the night before seemed to have been lifted. Then we got a knock on the door. It was Calvin, our RA. He was looking for Devin, so they started talking, but I couldn't hear what was said. Devin left without saying anything, so I was left to wonder what was going on.
Almost two hours passed, and I had to go to class. After class, I had the Phi Sig meeting, but I told Dalia to call me if she knew anything. After the meeting, I called her and she said he knew, but that he wouldn't tell anyone until we were all there. Once upstairs, I learned that Devin wasn't going to tell us. I told him I was stressin' and couldn't take it anymore. He still wouldn't tell me. Hours later, he borrows Dalia's phone to call his mom. I came in my room and started crying just from all the absolute stress of worrying. He messaged me and told me to come over, after I pleaded with him to tell me.
I walked in, he looked at me and said: "Diiiiscco! You've been crying?" I could tell by the look on his face that he felt bad, and that he would most likely FINALLY tell me. He had me come sit on his lap, and he said: "I have to go home."
I, of course, started crying like the baby that I am (lol). Turns out that he's known since Wednesday, but didn't want to tell us until Sunday so that we wouldn't be sad.
Will update more later, as Dalia, Kim and Shelcie are throwing things at my front door so that I'll go to the Union with them. They're dumbasses...lol.
