Jurassic Park was freakin' awesome. It was so cool to actually get to jump at certain parts again... plus Shannon had never even seen it before (crazy, I know) so she actually screamed at one of the raptor parts. It was so much fun that I ended up watching both The Lost World and Jurassic Park 3 today (Michael owns all three movies) to complete the series. Neither of course live up to the first, but at least the second one is filled with funny lines from Ian Malcolm. "How manys Sarahs do you think are on this island?" and "Oooh. Ahhh. Yeah, that's how it always starts. But then later there's running...and screaming." being two of the best =).
It reminded me of how obsessed with Dinosaurs I used to be (actually right around when Jurassic Park originally came out) and how up until 8th grade or so, I was convinced I wanted to be an archaeologist. A lot different than a journalist, I know. But I was obsessed with the indian dwellings, hieroglyphs and dinosaur fossils I'd seen growing up visiting Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, etc. I'm still fascinated by all of it, but I can see that archaeology isn't exactly a fruitful field in this day and age. Still, just a funny fact about Liz I bet you never knew ;)
