Today was FINALLY a good day. For the first time since Monday, I felt almost back to normal.
First of all, watched both I Robot and the Incredibles last night with the roomies. I (heart) Pixar. Then this morning, Mom came over early, we finished projects in my room (now my apartment is officially the cleanest it has ever been) and then we went to lunch (YES! I ate real food!) at McAlister's. For some reason, a BLT sounded good to me. I was only able to eat about half of it, but it was glorious. After lunch, we went to see Robots on a whim since Mom was telling me a story about Mrs. Sulzman taking Noah to see it. It was really cute... funnier than the Incredibles but not as cool. Maybe it was just me, but the inventor who the main character idolizes reminds me a lot of Walt Disney (as in the man, not the corporation/franchise). Sad, indeed.
Also, caught the list of the retro movies for this Spring. Kinda disappointed. Footloose was last week, Matrix this week ('99 is retro?), and in the weeks to come: Beverly Hills Cop, Scarface, Batman and.... Jurassic Park. I'm definitely going to see Jurassic Park. I saw it in the theaters when it originally came out, but I was in what... fourth grade? I don't even remember.
Afterwards, Mom and I decided to do some painting at do-art... an alternative to Easter eggs, I suppose. I have a ton of stuff from do-art already, so I just made her a cute coffee mug. She also made herself a coffee mug, so she'll be getting two entirely different but cute new mugs =) She was hungry at this point, so I took a moment to think of what I thought I might like... and landed on a yummy salad from 706. So we had AMAZING veggie lover salads at 706 (omg, sooo many fresh veggies) and garlic rolls that our (cute) waiter almost threw on us. My mom joked that I had him all nervous, and I only wish that were the truth! lol. I still couldn't eat very much, but I guess that's to be expected.
It was only 7:30 at this point and so we decided to go see Finding Neverland since I knew my mom would love it and she very rarely can convince my dad to go out to the movies and I knew he wouldn't really appreciate as much if they rented it. So impromptu second trip to the movies it was! Good times =) Rude audience in general, but cute to watch the biker-man in front of me wipe tears at the end. Awww =)
'Twas sad to say goodbye (she leaves early morning tomorrow), especially since yesterday was wasted in my feeling bad. But regardless, it was great having her here. My mom is the best =)
