Living in Gainesville, I've sort of adjusted to not really having to worry about thunderstorms past the summer-time. And even in the summertime when it rains every day at 1 p.m. on the dot, it's not always lightning and thunder and scariness. In Arcadia, the Gulf constantly produced storms and sent them our way. Storms were a common occurence that I dreaded, but dealt with.
As most of you know, storms are my worst fear, especially after Charley. So imagine my surprise when, out of the blue, thunder shook our apartment just a bit ago. I just checked weather.com and it doesn't look nice. *le sigh* Can I go back to the snow, please?
The first day back to classes wasn't awful... concert band was more entertaining than usual. I tied exbf Travis' shoes together and then stole his keys... all during concert band he was complaining about wanting his keys back. So then I took his credit card. Muwahaha. This concert is going to be funny... one song is in a Renaissance style (my least favorite music of all time) and then the other three songs sound like Russian gypsy dances. This translates to a very happy Liz (looooove gypsy-ish songs) and a very happy Dalia because... for the second year in a row we're playing Shostakovich's Folk Dances. This was Dalia's favorite song from the concert last year, and coincidently one of my faves as well. So no complaints from me, other than it's weird to have to go with Danny's conducting instead of watching Tim (whoa, weird coincidence there) flail around and put all his crazy emphasis on things. Aww... I miss Tim!
Anyway, after concert band Travis was still giving me a really hard time so I just started walking out of the band room. He caught up and followed me all the way out to my car. I just had to do it since he'd been such a pain about it. So then I gave him a ride back to his car and finally gave him back his keys. Upon returning home, I had IMs from Adam, Travis' roommate saying: "So Travis says you're still in love with him." To which I replied: "He wishes. Afterall, he stalked me all the way to my car tonight." hahaa. Of all my exbfs, Travis and I have the best post-relationship friendship. It's nice that we can tease each other and flirt and know that we're not actually going to ever get back together.
Now, rain rain go away!
