I love his flappy satin ears. And Spike's expressive pointy velvet ones.
The yawn-and-turn-away thing has been invaluable. It even cuts short his loony fits when he has unilateral tug games with the lead (I curse the day I encouraged him to do that. I R DUMB) - but my mouth hurts!
Yeah. It used to be a ritual for a specific time - when I put the lead back on after a session offlead in the park I'd let him do it for a minute or so. Trouble is, Spike's extrapolated it to every time he feels frustrated at being leashed now. My own idiot fault.
Awww Maggles! Was she scared of him before, or just neutral?
As for your lips, you need some nice lip balm. An old friend told me once that the best way to keep one's lips soft & supple was to engage in a great deal of cunnilingus. Barring that, get some Chapstick. And drink more water, if you're better hydrated it's less likely.
Shame I'm so far away I have some liquids to give you that're also quite good for the skin & they come in a lovely soft dispenser that's good for both direct esophogeal injection & topical application ;-)
