Authors Note: Third post in a day. Heh. With any luck I can later add an illustration, because Lori has said she's going to draw this one :D Yay! And, not worthy of an update but something I want to ask anyway: is it wrong that I wish to keep a single secret? Raven's tripping because I won't tell her why I hate to see people cry. People being her. Fuck, yo. She doesn't even want to talk to me properly because of it. What's up with that?! Gah. Enjoy teh fic-ness.
“So,” Parker wandered into the lounge room with his head buried in a pile of papers. Chris glanced up at him from where he lay on the sofa with Stanley on his chest. “According to that poll we did last month, sixty-seven percent of our customers think we’re fantastic and are regulars or have plans to become such. Another thirty percent are satisfied with us and have made small donations but aren’t sure about retuning. And the last three percent-well, they’re the pure fangirls and only ever come in to drool over us or yell for us to hurry up and kiss or do something like that…” He shook his head. “I honestly don’t get girls.”
“So, no one thinks we suck?”
“No, Chris,” Parker sighed. “No one thinks we suck.”
“Oh, that’s good. And, sixty-five percent think we’re better than anything?”
“Sixty-seven percent, actually.”
“Ah.” He paused and then grinned stupidly. “Sixty-seven is two numbers away from sixty-nine!”
Parker almost dropped his pile of paper, and stared in stunned silence at his friend, who asked, “What?”
“Christopher Eean Ridge-cookie.” Parker said slowly, shaking his head. “You are an idiot.” And he swished out of the room.
Chris blinked and shrugged, turning back to his frog. “I don’t get it, Stanley,” He lamented loudly. “I was just stating a fact!”
Parker’s snort of disgust could be heard even though he was by then three rooms away.
