Overnight shift the second was not quite as eventful as the first, owing partly to the fact that I had less extra work to do, and partly to the fact that the grocery guy took no breaks and left at four. LAME. No entertainment for me tonight. I did a bad, bad thing tonight, though. I was running low on cigarettes and I was considering asking the grocery guy for the keys to the office, hoping that one of them would also open the locks on the tobacco display behind the courtesy desk. However, to my utmost delight, ANN LEFT THE DISPLAY COMPLETELY OPEN. So, I bought myself a pack of Craven A Menthol Cigarettes (I learned yesterday that it's okay to cash myself out as long as the security guard is watching me). I hope I didn't fuck up their tobacco inventory. Chances are that if she forgot to close the display, she forgot to count the cigarettes, though.

I got so bored that after scrubbing down all the registers and rewashing the belts, I grabbed the magic eraser and scoured every inch of scourable surface at the front end. Those goddamn magic erasers are addictive.... I swear to jeebus, everything sparkled. After a while, I even decided to brave the coffee machine, so I grabbed the keys and pranced on over, but the damn key only fit in one of the locks, so I only refilled the french vanilla container, and sugar canister. I don't know why the key wouldn't turn in the lock on the left side of the machine. There's only one coffee machine key, and it fits in the lock, but it just wouldn't turn. I could have wasted at least another half an hour with the extra return buggy I found halfway down aisle five, but the grocery guy got to it before me.

After that, the rest of the night became an endless smoke break, interspersed with bits of reading, and button mashing on my DS. Oh, and I sat outside for an hour and sang j-pop at the top of my lungs. Someone give me some overnight shifts during the week before I have to go back to Ottawa....

TOTALLY LUSTING FOR GBA. I MEAN, SERIOUSLY.
