Wow, I had an incredible weekend no doubt!
I went on a convention with my school's Key Club (a community service club). There were of course the downsides of it...like getting super sick...and the 6 hour meetings and 2 hour caucases afterwards...but most of it was all completely fun!
The first night we were there we had to dress up and go to a meeting and after that meeting we had to go to a caucaus which we had to sit and listen to all the canidates give their speeches (WAY BORING!) We were all upset because it ran over by more than 45 minutes...in which was when we were supposed to be having a "casual dance." Most people just went straight to the dance on a count of the time being so late. Our group went back to the room and changed first though...but I only slipped over the key club shirt that was mandatory to wear over my other clothes. And ugh yeah I danced on my crutch! hehe is was freakin' sweet!
Haha here are two pictures, one of me before the dance...and one of me after in my special attire hehe.
That next morning we had some more meetings and community service projects, like packing food for poor countries (THE BEST ONE!), making birthday cards for kids without parents, and sewing quilts for kids without some. Then we got to do "fun activities." Haha I went to a pep ralley thing with Michelle and Charlotte. We played a few games, but the one that sticks out is when we had to pass this orange from person to person without using our hands (under our chins.) This Arabic guy in our group was by me and UGH he pushed his whole upper body on me and his face all over mine and it was pokey! lol darn. Then the next fun activity I did was disco dancing with Lauren. Haha it was pretty funny how I was doing it on a crutch.
Afterwards we had some free time! YES! Haha I played a few arcade games (where I lost air hockey to MR. McCLURE! lol). Then I went bowling....haha this is freakin' sweet no joke. I bowled granny style (because that's all I could do on a count of I am still not better...UGH) and get this...I knocked down 6 with the first roll, then on the second roll I knocked the rest down for a spare! That is freakin' awesome! Haha my total score was only 67...but that's pretty good considering my handicaps LOL.
Also over the weekend I got a ride on scooter (yeah like the ones the old people use) but it was sweet. I figured out how to put it on high speed and that made it so fun! I was doing donuts at high speed and it went on two wheels!!! Everyone around was like "AHHHH". But I thought it was fun! One of our guys Ryan drove BOTH of us to drop our shoes off at the bowling ally lol that was fun. That scooter had a headlight, a horn and turning signals!!!
After the free time we had to be back in some meetings and have our last dinner. It was fun actually. And after all that we had another FORMAL dance. Haha I danced without my crutch for that...even though it was pretty hard.
Then the next morning we had to get up, eat breakfast (I couldn't), then go home. But we did get to sign eachothers shirts and stuff...so that was pretty cool.
Ummm so those are most of the highlights of the weekend...oh and haha Ed was cute! (I LOVE ASIANS!) hehe. Now for the rest of the pictures....
PHEW that's a lot of pictures! hehe but I love you if you looked through all of them!
