Christmas is here!
I have stuffed my face silly. I think I've gained 10 pounds just from lunch! I don't think my goal of losing weight is working. I need to start jogging again otherwise I'll be obese.
Got up early (which was only 9am but to me that's early) and we opened our presents. It was all very fun :)
We then headed off to Rydges for Christmas lunch. It was great! Not worth the money we paid but it it was still good eating. I didn't touch the "Cold Bar" which was full of seafood and what have you. I stuck to the "Hot Bar" with it's fantastic roast garlic potatoes and steamed vegies and the best roast beef. It was pure heaven! Melt in your mouth, tender, Aussie Angus beef. Orgasmic!
But the whole time Brother and I were eyeing off the dessert table. Planning on which treats we were going to grab and angrily eyeing off anyone that went close to "our" desserts. I could imagine ourselves pouncing out at them, arms extended like a lion and mauling at them for going near our territory. Well it was a pretty good looking dessert table. By the end of our main course we hurriedly crossed to the desserts. We looked at the pitiful little saucers they had for them and went back to get ourselves dinner plates to stack our treats onto. Some guy saw us and commented on what a great idea it was and went and did the same. Then there were a few of us crowded around with big dinner plates. Everything looked so good and rich we grabbed a sample of most things filling up a large plate each. Big mistake. I was only a little way through the white chocolate bread and butter pudding when I almost died of richness overload. And I still had profiteroles, lemon pie, pecan tart and a fruit pudding with caramel custard to go. He-heh. I didn't even end up touching half of them. I swear I almost saw heaven. I though I was going to explode.
It's three hours later and I can still taste sugar. Ugh. I wouldn't mind some roast beef and potatoes though. They could go down well...
Got home and tried to laze about in the sun. I was starting to doze when Brother attacked me with the water gun. Then I got too hot so came inside.
It's been a pretty good Christmas. Although now I'm ready for bed ^-^
