long entry of stuff i've done lately cuz i like to record events
well, it appears i haven't written in here since november! a few random blurbs of end of the year, finals:
got to go to justin's fancy-pants work party. i bought a new dress for it. i hadn't bought a dress since the one i bought sophomore year sadies dance, the only high school dance i went to. the dinner party was awesome!!! we got to ride in limos there and back! the restaurant was really nice, and i got lobster and several expensive drinks. all for free cuz gilware paid for it! i can tell they really want him to stay on after he graduates. i don't think he wants work there forever, but he does really like the job.
i watched motocycle diaries with tim and sierra. i wish i saw them more often. there spanish has definitely improved while mine has deteriorated, hehe. i need to learn how to make tortilla espanola now.
my neighbors held a sweater party where i got to display my hideous old soccer sweater. i don't think i'll ever get rid of it just for shock value.
kathryn came up to visit me before we went home on the 24th for christmas. i think she had fun. i felt a little bad the first night since i hung out at jake's house, but she had full cable and internet access here. i suppose i would be a bit intimidated too if i was going to hang out with all my sister's friends in college and i was just a sophomore in high school. we went shopping the next few days. one of the nights we were here we ate dinner at justin's family's house and watched talladega nights. i really like his family. i hope they like me at least a little.
went home for christmas for only 2 days. it was good to the fam, and probably good it was so short so i didn't get all angry and worried about things there.
i went to la crosse the 26-28th to visit chrissy. so sad, she's in dc now. claire and don are also from la crosse, so i got to see them there too. chrissy's sister nickie is now living in our apartment. i think it will work out well.
let's see, then i went on a very brief excursion to florida for the capitol one bowl. it wasn't too bad driving straight through there since there were 3 of us in the car and we just kept switching off. my favorite part was when we stopped at daytona beach on the way down. i loved played in the waves, and it just reminded me of when i was a kid and would play in the wave pool. so much fun. it also marked my first new years ever actually celebrating it in a bar, having someone to kiss at midnight, and also not being there for the steak and lobster traditional new years eve dinner with my family. a nice change except for missing the dinner.
i basically worked and bummed around in madison the rest of break. went up to justin's parents' cabin once for the weekend. i went out to madison avenue once with joey and meg and juddes. got to hang out with claire a lot since we were the only one back in madison for awhile. i did go home for a few more days. went shopping with kathryn and did some laundry. still the same hoarding and craziness with my dad, and i worry about my mom too. we got a bunch of snow finally! sad it was near the end of break so i couldn't enjoy it to the fullest, but i want to go skiing this sunday night cuz they have free rentals at tyrol.
i have so much time in my schedule this semester!! no labs and i'm taking 2 online classes. i should try to fill it with volunteering or something. can't decide if i should get another job or not. as of now i'm still making under rent money since i quit jimmy john's. as of right now i'm still making under rent money through my meriter job. i want to try to save enough to travel in national parks this summer. arrgh, decisions, decisions.
i suppose i should do some homework now cuz i'm going to the serf a bit later. adios lj para ahora.
