NEAT!
I was watching tv this evening and watching Gerald R. Ford's internment, and had the thought that I might be able to see the "21 Jet Missing Man Formation" fly-over... almost as soon as I thought that, I saw the first set of jets. So I turned my camera on, only to see "card full"... SHIT! I quickly deleted a few pictures from NYE, and snapped a few quick pics. Hindsight makes me wish I would have thought of this sooner and prepared my camera a little bit, and put it on my good "close-up setting" so that I could have gotten some clearer pictures, but oh well - jets move fast so who knows how this would have worked. This is a once-in-a-lifetime sort of thing, especially for Michiganders since he's our only president, and it's really neat to be in the city of Grand Rapids watching from afar!
I also snapped this picture just moments after Ford was buried. It was kind of beautiful to see this bright jet stream heading towards the atmosphere through the colored sky while thinking of an American Icon being laid to rest.
